Johannes FUHRMANN, pharmacist,
was born on 29 January 1665 in Birnbaum as 1st son of the pharmacist
Johann George Fuhrmann and his wife Johanna Elisabeth Schorbach.

He died on 13 January 1745 in Birnbaum.
With him starts the joint ancestry of the German and USA Fuhrmann-lines.
About his acquisition of his rights of citizen is nothing known, but after 1710 he is called a citizen.
Johann married a 1st time on 21.May 1700 in Birnbaum Helena Klippel from Wronke, daughter of George Klüppel and his wife. She is in the marriagerecord only named as “Golicks widow”. The churchrecords didn’t reach far enough back to find her first marriage to find out her birthname.

This couple had a son George. Mother and son died during the Plague-epedemie 1709/1710 in Birnbaum. Exact dates are not possible, because during the plague the churchrecords are not continued.

Johann married a 2nd time on 5.May 1711 in Birnbaum Dorothea Elisabeth Braemer, daughter of Geörge Paul Braemer and his wife N.N.

Johann and Dorothea had 6 children (4 boys and 2 girls )
The first son, Elias, died at the age of 8 days.
Two boys became pharmacists: Johann Martin, the progenitor of the German line and Christoph Friedrich. About him we know very little. He acquires the citizenship of Birnbaum but in the churchrecords we don’t find a marriage or children nor deathrecord.
The 4th son Jacob Gottlieb became furrier – see previous page. He is the progenitor of the USA-line .
The daughter Eva Elisabeth was married on 21 May 1743 in Birnbaum to Gottlieb Jackobi and daughter Anna Rosina was married on 27 Nov.1753 to Gottfried Leidke. (3 children)
